NO, MICHAEL DELLES WAS NOT FORCED OUT OF THE HOME. Nona is mistaken. I am his Grandaughter, Linda Courtney. My mother, who is his daughter, told me the TRUE STORY. Grandma had given birth to at least 10 children [two died]and by then she simply could stand to have any more children. Therefore, she drew the line, and since they were strong catholics without the use of birth control, she no longer wanted sex with the man. So he simply decided to leave his family of eight living children, and to look for "greener pastures." He found them in Oregon.

I remember well the day they shipped his dead body back for burial. My mother cired to think now he was returning to his original home, but too late to do any good for his family. I have NO respect for such a man, and I don't feel he deserved to lay beside my hard working self-sacrifing Grandmother. I spent many years caring for Grandma, and she never complained about her lot in life, although it had always been an extreamly difficult one. Michael Delles was NO saint . . .he was a cowardly person who placed his own pleasure far above his family. His legacy was one that showed no Christian love for anyone other than himself.
