Thanks for your reply Lori. I have run across the Delles/Fischels deal more than once. The first time I ran into it concerned a Lucia Delles born 1800, died 16 Jan. 1857, I don't have a location for her birth or death but her husband was Petrus (Peter) Ehr born 24 Jun. 1801 Bettingen,Rheinland-Pfalz,Prussia. Her parents are listed as Johannes Delles and a Margaretha unknown surname. The next place I have this happening is with Susanna Delles born 2 Feb.1798 Fisbach, Rheinland-Pfalz,Prussia and died 1837. Susanna married 27 Feb. 1830 a Johann Ehr born 18 Sept. 1797 in Bettingen , he is a brother to Petrus Ehr. Susanna has listed as parents Joannes Delles Fischels and a Margaretha unknown surname. I would think Susanna and Lucia are sisters. To further complicate matters, Susanna and Johann Ehr have a son Peter Ehr (another one)born 15 Mar.1833 Oberweis,Rheinland-Pfalz,Prussia died 15 Apr. 1910 Gilbertville,Iowa. he marries Margaret Bruck shes born in Utescheid,Rheinland-Pfalz,Prussia and dies in Gilbertville. She in turn has a sister Elizabeth Bruck that marries a Micheal Fischels born 12 Aug.1846 Utescheid and he dies in Iowa. Is any of this familar to you? Also was your John Delles related to a Frank Delles? thanks
