Adam Deel/Dell

I am trying to trace the ancestry of my 4th gr. grandfather Adam Deel b. 1780 in Pennsylvania ?? I have ran into a brick wall in my research and was wondering if he could be a victom of the name changes or mispellings of geneological records and the his name could have been Adam Dell b, 1780? The 1830 and 1840 Census records in Marion County Ohio have him as Adam "Deal". He died in 1848 and his wife was named Rose A., maiden name unknown.
Does anyone out there have an Adam Dell b. 1780 and cannot account for his movements. It may be him!
