Article from Gaffney Ledger, Gaffney, S.C. July 27, 1946. SGT. DELL BURIED IN ARLINGTON The earthly remains of First Sergeant JAMES DELL were interred in the Arlington National Cemetery at Arlington, Va., Tuesday, in the "Field of the Dead". An army chaplain, Father John R. Beatty performed the Catholic rites at the Fort Myers Chapel and said the last service over the grave. The retired soldier, who has lived in Gaffney since 1940, died July 19. His wife, Mrs. Eileen Nicholson Dell, Mrs. Roberta Pryor and Hickson Jones of this city were present at the last service. --- [ this is not my family ] Notify Administrator about this message?
