Am confused on some information I have on Enoch George Dell and Matilda Hirst Dell. Indications are that Enoch and Matilda Hirst married at Niagara Falls, NY on February 11, 1852. Matilda was born July 5, 1834. Enoch on June 14, 1828. They were married by Silas Olmstead, a Justice of the Peace. Witnesses were Jessie Owen Dell, Susan Montague and George Swain.
Issue: Handwriting indicates spelling as Matilda Hirst, however, all information I've received from various sources reflects Hurst.
Issue: I have attempted to obtain their marriage license from the State of New York and am unable.
Issue: According to handwriting contained on a page in the family bible.............there are 2 Langs listed. James and Alexander, twins, born February 22, 1839. I'm not able to find any other reference to them so not sure of their connection.
I'd appreciate whatever assistance is possible in sorting out these issues. Thanks.
