1. Moritz Doell born 1796 in ?, Germany, married (possibly Catharina Weber in 1824 in Baden - not confirmed) - 2. Child Katherina Doell married Heinrich Egeling in Germany - Filby's Germans to America has a listing for Heinrich Egeling between 1850 and 1870 (have not seen). 3. Moritz Doell married Barbara Mogk who had been born in Bad Wildungen - this couple lived in Bad Wildungen. 4. Child Margarethe Doell married Christian Knoll; Christian Knoll, shoemaker, age 23, came to the US on the J. Welch arriving in May, 1854, listed as from GRN39 - Niederwillingen. Margarethe Doell received a passport at Waldeck in March, 1858. Christian Knoll and Margarethe Doell lived in Philadelphia. 5. Child Friedrich Wilhelm Doell born 1832 arrived in Philadelphia on the J. Welch in May, 1854, also listed as from Niederwillingen. Friedrich married Catharina Grosz at St. Michael's Zion German Lutheran Church in September, 1856. Child Charles Christian Doell was born in 1857. Catharina Grosz died about 1860 and Friedrich Doell and son Charles Christian moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where Friedrich married Barbara Weber in 1863. 6. Child Charles M. Doell born about 1835 arrived in Philadelphia on the J. Welch in May, 1854 - also from Niederwillingen. Charles M. was in Dayton, Ohio by about 1855 and moved around from Dayton to Franklin to Middletown several times before 1866. Charles married Anna Margaret Yeager in 1860. 7. Child Christian Doell - ? remained in Germany. 8. Child Charlotte Doell - ? remained in Germany - Charlotte is the only child listed specifically in the will of Moritz and Barbara Doell dated 1857 to receive any item from their household. 9. Moritz Doell died in 1868. 10. Moritz Doell may have had the following siblings - sister who married a Shaffer in Bad Wildungen; sister who married a Zohn and came to the US; brother Fritz of Hamburg. I am looking for any additional information on this family and will be happy to respond to anyone with potential connections. I am having some problems sorting out the Niederwillingen vs. Bad Wildungen and have not yet been able to find this family in an Ortsippenbuch. Vicki
