Well this is not my line but the "old country" may be Scotland. The Clan Stewart has Lisle as a sept name. I am also looking for info on this Lisle/DeLisle connection(because we supposedly are French but nobody in our family looks French. We look like we are Scottish.) If I find out anything on Lisle in Scotland I will get back in touch and I hope you will do the same.
