I have been told that we are related to Claude Joseph Rouget de Lisle the composer, but I have never found any links yet in the family. So I am also unsure when my line dropped the De from Lisle.

Because my G Grandfather died when my Grandfather was 3 any family history was never passed down the generations making things a little harder to research!

I have Lisle in my family this was my GGG grandfather was Richard Lisle B about 1810. His daughter Annie Elizabeth Lisle B 1849
