Hello,

Yes...if you go to ancestry.com and look under the Drouin French Church Records (or Google up), you will find much both with English and Native spelling in search engine.

The key is working the search engine -- my best results come from using surname ( as not exact), no given name leave blank, then under "birth" locale, use Caughnawaga (EXACT); now hit search.

Once you find a Jesuit record, you can see the Mohawk name and then try just using the Native name (not exact, birth, exact). When studying the French cursive, best to stand back and "zone out" for focus and look for English look-a-like spelling.

Email me at seesouls@hotmail if you get stuck.

Always a privilege to help any one of, The Flint.
