Delisle /Lisle from GA>AL

Does anyone have any information on a Delisle family that dropped the "De" sometime during the 1700's. I am trying to connect a Joshua Henry Lisle, b. 1857 in Muscogee Cnty, GA to his parents. Family legend has it that either Joshua or his Father received a letter from the "Old Country" advising that he had inherited part ownership to the family "castle" (don't know what country) but decided not to claim it because of the cost to travel back overseas. Does anyone have the same legend in their family history? Would love to hear from you if Joshua Henry is in your family line. All of our data can be viewed on our web page at http://www.koyote.com/users/mwood/mwood.

Thanks
Ellen Mayo
