My husbands great great grandfather was Eustach Clemens Delisle. He thinks he came from Cancda. His son was Col. Edward Delisle
and his son was Jonah Delisle.
These men may have originated in Canada and migrated to Portageville, Mo. The Catholic church there is named for Eustach.
There were several DeLisle brothers Alphonse, Columbus and Ollie who started and ran a dry goods store in Portageville, col. Edward and Jonah also had a dry goods store. The town of Portageville, Mo was started by these older DeLisle's. Col Edward was born in 1848
Does anyone have these names on their family tree?
