I'm a New Mexico Delgado and my family basically never went to Texas or Florida. There is a distinct branch of San Antonio Delgados who were from the Canary Islands and there are still Canary Islands Delgados, but as far as I know we are not related. My family is supposed to have come from Almeria Spain in 1714, no proof yet. I'll keep you in mind though and if I see anything will let you know. It's possible that my Delgados were from the Canary Islands and branched off in the early 17th century, but I don't think so.
