There's a posting that Thomas "Major" Delegal helped found Savannah, GA, and married a Mattair from Live Oak, FL after going there on a hunting trip. My Delegal family originates in Live Oak, FL. My father's parents lived there, Samuel and Virginia Delegal. Samuel Sr's parents were Edward T. and Jimmie Delegal. They are all buried at the Pine Grove Methodist Church cemetary in Live Oak. I have one living uncle left, Sanford Delegal, living in Vero Bch, FL. There are some Delegals in Jacksonville, FL and Ft. Lauderdale, FL. I am also interested in tracing the family tree.
