I'm from the Delegal family and have several members of the family buried at the Pine Grove Methodist Church cemetary in Live Oak, FL. My father was Samuel Delegal, Jr. His father and mother were Samuel and Virginia Delegal, and his grand parents are Edward T. and Jimmie Delegal. My dad's dad's brother was Ned Delegal and he has 2 sons, Mickey and Charles Delegal. I'm living in Ft Lauderdale, FL, but have family owned property in Live Oak, FL. I'm also interested in tracing the family tree. You mentioned that Thomas P. Delegal founded Savannah, GA? What is his relation to the other Delegals? Did the Mattairs own property in Live Oak, and when she married a Delegal it became Delegal land? There is a place called "Mattair Springs" off of Route 36A in Live Oak, FL. Was this named after the same Mattairs?
