Dave - I'm sure we're looking at the same source material from the Oley Hill church. The version I transcribed in 1984 was a copy typed in 1967, found at the Lehigh County Historical Society. If you saw the original in the Historical Society of PA, that's better source material. I can fill in the missing baptismal & sponsor info, as well as add 2 children. The page numbers I show are from the typed copy. The spellings are as I transcribed them. The complete baptismal record of Delcamp's in the 1754-1799 records of the Oley Hill Church (now St. Joseph's Union Church) Pike Twp., Berk's Co., PA is as follows: pg 39 "Henrich born Apr 24, 1776, baptized June 16, 1776, son of Heinrich Dellkamp and Susanna, sponsors William Dellkamp and Elizabeth Hartman". pg 42 "Philip born Apr 27, 1778, baptized May 26, 1778, son of Henrich Delkamp and Susan, sponsors Philip Weiss-Muller and Elizabeth". pg 46 "Jacob born May 2, 1780, baptized June 11, 1780, son of Heinrich Delkamp and Susanna, sponsors Jacob Roth and Magdalene". pg 51 "John George born Feb 2, 1784, baptized May 31, 1784, son of Heinrich Delcamp and Susanna, sponsors Jacob Gerber and Susanna Delcamb". pg 76 "Johannes born March 12, 1793, baptized Oct 6, 1793, son of Heinrich Delkamb and Susanna, sponsors Johannes Dieter Martin and Catherine". pg 97 "Susanna born March 8, 1799, baptized August 25, 1799, daughter of Heinrich Delikam and Susanna, sponsors Hannes Klotz and Maria Elizabeth". I've included the last 2 (Johannes & Susanna) despite the 9 year gap between John George & Johannes because all are listed as Henry's children in the Berk's County Orphan's Court action regarding Henry Delcamp's estate dated Jan. 8, 1813 (Vol. 4 No. 2 pg 52-56). Also included in the estate papers are the children Adam, Maria & Charles. If anyone has access to the LHS, it's worth a doublecheck of the baptismal records looking for Adam between Jacob & John George, and Maria & Charles between John George and Johannes, perhaps under a very odd spelling of Delcamp (like just plain "Camp" or "DeKamp"). Note also that there is a 6 year gap between Johannes and Susanna, leaving open the possibility of 1 or more additional children. Note that the sponsor of the 1st child, "Henrich born Apr 24, 1776" is listed as "William Dellkamp". I presume that this William was probably a brother to "Heinrich Dellkamp" (father of "Henrich"), and so may be a clue to the previous generation (and a link to the presumed immigrant Hinrich Christoph DeliKamp). I have not found any other mention of this William. Any clues or ideas? Bob Klawitter
