I was drawn immediately to your email. You see, my father's name was also "Buck DeLaughter". However, he and his family left Texas around 1943. My dad & I thought he had an unusual nickname, but I guess it wasn't that rare. His real name was Foster Allen. He was nicknamed "Buck" after one of his brothers accidentally hit him with some buckshot while shooting at a rabbit. Just thought you might like to know about the other Buck DeLaughter.
