Mrs. L. M. DeLaughter Died Yesterday A.M.
Mrs. Lillie May Hightower DeLaughter, 52, died at 1:30 o'clock yesterday morning at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. J. C. Bush, No. 3 Pine Grove Avenue, North Augusta,
S.C. after an illness of two weeks.
Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock this morning from North Augusta Baptist church, Rev. J.P. Sheffield officiating. Internment will be in Sweetwater cemetery.
The following will act as pallbearers: Martin Medlock, G.
O. Wadley, J.E. Edenfield, C.B. Murrah, George McKie and
N.S. Banks.
She is survived by one son, James P. DeLaughterof Long Beach, Cal; three daughters, Mrs. J.C. Bush, of North
Augusta; Mrs. Sallie D. Watson of Thomas, W.Va.; Mrs. R.
E. Bell, of North Augusta; six grandchildren; six brothers,
W.J. Hightower, of Savannah; J.E. Hightower of Augusta;
A.S., C.B., G.W. and J.S. Hightower, all of North Augusta;
two sisters, Mrs.H.H. Harley, of North Augusta, and Mrs.
Alma Matthews, of North Augusta.
Lillie May Hightower was the wife of James Pickens
DeLaughter,Jr. son of James Pickens DeLaughter, Sr.,son
of Absolem DeLaughter.
