Hereditary medical condition?
Posted by: Sharon Date: December 01, 2001 at 16:34:33

Does anyone know of a hereditary medical condition that may run in the Delaughter family? Charcot-Marie-Tooth syndrome affects nerves in the extremities. CMT patients slowly lose normal use of their feet/legs and hands/arms as nerves to the extremities degenerate. The muscles in the extremities become weakened because of the loss of stimulation by the affected nerves. I understood that it was hereditary in families of French descent. My e-mail is genmania@hotmail.com.
