While searching the surname "DeLaughter" on Infoseek I found the "Rushing" Home Page. In it appearsto be two brothers, William Nelson DeLaughter & David DeLaughter. The info on William says that he was born in SC Abt 1815.

I have been researching the DeLaughter & variations for around 8 years now and I also have a Genealogy Home Page with a DeLaughter section. The William & David on the Rushing page interest me greately dur to the fact that I'm trying to trace the SC DeLaughters there to wererever they went. I have been able to trace my DeLaughters back to France when David Delattre was born near La Basse in 1655. His Grandson, George William was born in Germany in 1726 but along with several other family members emigrated to PA in 1741. William findely setteled in Edgefield, SC where he died a Quaker Minister in the early 1800's. He had 2 children, George William II (My 4th Great Grandfather) and James DeLaughter. James was born c1765 in Edgefield, SC but died c1840 in MS.

I believe James being the father of David & William. Ive contacted via email the Ruching home page to get his opion. James would have been 50 when William was born. My notes say he Died in MS Aby 1840. Maybe this james is also the father of your Elizabeth. Let me know.
