I may have some information for you. As you can see I added another apelling variation to the name. It seems that depending on who was taking the cencus or recording the marriage they spelled the way they choose. They are all the same name particularly the families that lived in the town of Whitehall LA. such as my family and that of Georgina Delattre/Deslattes/Delatte. It appears that you may be correct that she was the daughter of Francois Lefroz Delattre. At least she is listed as a member of his household. As you will notice there are other members of the house that may be step children. This was his second marriage and me hers too. Some other records in that may use the "Delatte" spelling. My great grandfather was Francois Florestine Delatte. I have not been able to determine who his father was. At one time I thought it might be Lefroz, but earlier cencus do not indicate that.
