Catherine Delashmutt is believed to be a daughter of Pierre de la Chaumette, according to our family tradition. She was born around 1706-1710 Gloucester Co. NJ, and died after 27 Dec 1770 Frederick Co MD. It is believed that Theodores Malott (b. 27 Jan 1694 NY) had a previous wife named Catharine Maple/Marple who was the mother of his 3 children John, Theodore and Mary (who married James Walling).
The will of Theodores (1751 Frederick Co MD)lists children: Peter, Elizabeth, Catherine, Benjamin, John, Theodore and Mary, with bequests to the last three made almost as an afterthought at the end of his will.
The will of Catherine Delashmutt Malott lists children: Peter, Joseph, Catherine Crossly, Elizabeth Dawson, Ruth and Benjamin. The names of Joseph and Ruth, for some reason, are not in the will of Theodores.
