Hello,
This came Harve Delap's(White Co., Ill.) research notes: Campbell County, Tenn., Delaps, Robert Delap, descended from earlier Virginia Delaps, possibly the son of William Delap of Augusta County. He had two sons, Joseph and George Delap. Joseph married Elizabeth Cabbage and thier children were Tabitha, Louisa, Catherine, John, William, Elizabeth, Della, and Susan.
George Delap married Miss Cabbage who was a sister of Elizabeth Cabbage. No record of any children in this union. A later reading, notes Miss Cabbages name was Phoebe, and they had two sons, named Rafe and David and one daughter, Sarah Delap. Hope this info will help in your research.
