Dear Dorothy,
I have been interested in the family of Delap from co. Longford, Ireland. In the course of that research, I have found the family of Barton of Bordeaux, France. This is the Barton & Guestier wine merchant group. Robert Delap of Jamaica, son of Samuel and Sara, was the nephew of Margaret Delap who married Thomas Barton. Their son, William, married Grace Massy. My specific interest is the family of Johnston, of co. Longford and Richmond, VA. Hope this helps.
