Ill., Film # 924,497, item 9,family history center, pp. 294-295, Daniel Hamilton Swisegood of Augusta Township, Hancock co, Ill. was born in Davidson Co., N.C. March 18, 1822 is one of ten children, whose parents, John and Elizabeth (Delap)Swisegood, were also natives of North Carolina. ...The maternal grandfather, John Delap, was a North Carolina farmer, who reached the advanced age of more than seventy years.
