Originally deLannoy, is of French or Flemish origin depending on which story you believe. Supposedly from town of Lannoy in northern france. Pronunciation is whatever your branch accepts as proper. I/E dell-uh-no, de-la-noy, dee-lah-no etc. I am unaware of any scottish connections. Ameican branch for most part are descended from Phillipe deLannoy who arrived in New England on ship Fortune in 1621.
