I am looking for information on Solon M. Delaney. He was born on 15 June 1855 in Lexington, Fayette, Kentucky. At a young age his parents died and he was taken to Xenia, Clay, Illinois to live with his uncle David Smith. He was a school teacher for a few years, then an insurance agent.
Solon married Missouri Mae Hayes on 5 May 1881 in Clay County, Illinois. They had 3 children; Clara Elsie(b. 1883), Charles (b. 1885), Ernest(b. 1886).
Missouri died 11 Mar 1887 of died of congestion of womb then the brain.
Solon moved to Tower Hill, Shelby, Illinois. He left his children in the care of their maternal Grandmother Sarah Hayes.
