I'm looking for a family of a Runaway girl born abt. 1852 her name is either Ann Elizabeth Delaney or Elizabeth Ann Delaney. On her marriage records it has Delains or E.A. Delains as her name.
She married Wm Thomas Norman in Anderson County TN, but lived with a Wallace family in Anderson and they were from... Greene County, TN. She may have been picked up on the way or she could have found them in Anderson. OLD Story is that she ranaway because of a mean stepparent. Her Mother or Father had died and she was very unhappy. Does Anyone see her on any census or any of there families?? The family story is that she has some Indian bloodlines.
She is said to have some family in or around Townsend area, some mountain there. She could have been from Roane, Greene, Blount ??PLEASE HELP. I live in Ca and can't get to the needed research area's. Thanks Sherry
