Delaney, Daniel, while on vacation in San Antonio, TX Feb. 18, of stomach trouble due to gall stones. He was born in Mountrath, Queens Co. on Dec. 25, 1833 and came to the U.S. in 1850. He settled first in Cincinatti and came to Chicago early in 1865, when he became connected with the firm of Smith, Schwab, & McQuaid and afterward with that of Keeley & Kerwin. In 1883 he started in business for himself and in 1888 formed a partnership with Mr. M.W. Murphy. While a resident of Cincinatti he married Catherine Quinn who died on Dec. 13, 1905. The children were: Messrs. D. F., J. J., W. F., and H. V. Delaney and Mesdames K. Shippens and M. E. Clarke, now residents of Canada and Mesdames A. Hayes and V. Daley both of this city. Funeral occured from resid., 1224 Wilcox ave. to Our Lady of Sorrows Church to Calvary. -Feb. 24, 1906 (2)
