my mother's maiden name also Delaney...her grandfather was James J. Delaney, Sr...i believe he came to NJ from Ireland between
1960's & 1880's...my grandfather's first cousin was Alphonsus Delaney, Seperior General of the Patrician Brothers in Tullow,
Co. Carlow...Bro Alphonsus believed buried at Ballyfin College near Portlaoise. This is
our first tie to Ireland...do any of these names rings anyone's bells...James J. Sr. married Helen Mooney also from Ireland..they had 5 children--James J. Jr, (My grandfather),John Alphonse, William, Ann (Costello) and Catherine (Cadigan)
