Hi Peg, Mary Delaney was my Granmother I never met. Margret was my mother . (Margret Jones)Her maiden name was Delaney and she came from Boston.But my granmother came from Ireland and my granfather also. My granmother's maiden name was o'rourke. My mother had sisters and brothers that were nuns and priest. (in Boston ) Delaney was thier name Do you know any thing? I think the family seperated because my father was protesent and my mom's family was strick Catholic. In those days thats the way it was. You married your own Religion. Does this help you?
