Hi Gayle
I am new to researching this family and came across this forum about two weeks ago. I have emailed a couple of the contributors and received great information back. I realise that it is 7 years since you posted this message but am hoping you can help as your relationship to the family is in the line I'm confused about.
Alfonzo and Agnes Pearson are great grandparents of my husband, Kevin Hall. His Mum, Iris was youngest child of Agnes DeLandelles and Fred Phillips. Agnes was the youngest daughter of this couple and the third Agnes born into this family.
I have been looking at the Alfred St Clair DeLandelles and Ellen Stella Dudgeon family as their son, Stewart Douglas DeL was a cousin to Kev's Mum and probably the only contact his Mum had with the DeLandelles family. I assumed that this Alfred was a son of Alfonzo and Agnes but I can't find a birth for him to prove or disprove this statement. I am totally confused with Alfred Thomas and Alfred St Clair and was wondering whether you knew the connection. I can't find a birth for either but have found the marriages of both. Alfred St Clair married Helen S Dudgeon in 1883 and Alfred Thomas married Alison CS Gourlay in 1918. On the death certificate of Agnes Pearson/DeL in 1913, living issue did not include an Alfred so am assuming that Alfred St Clair (if a son) had already died as Alfred Thomas doesn't fit this time line.
Are you able to set me straight with this family?
Best wishes
Lyndall Hall
