J - On the surface, looks like this William may be a son of Thomas L. of Le Ray, but I have never run across him before. I will keep a lookout for any record.
Brookfiled Courier 31 Aug 1967 had a brief mention of Delancey being on the west side of Brookfield, the name derived from John Delancey, early pioneer, who had store and p.o. there. Since John originally settled in Delancey Corners, I supose he moved to this other area before leaving for the west. In the Unadilla Forks area, I am also looking at Benjamin Kenyon. He was adjacent to John in 1820, then moved over to Edmeston. But didn't own his land in Unadilla Forks, so maybe a tie-in with John somehow (or maybe he just leased the land). Glenn
