Access of French records

Has anyone been able to access the original French records for the parentage of Etienne? I have used what Jones wrote -- he married into the family prior to the American Revolution -- so I figure his work is pretty accurate -- but I have come across Huguenot writings that state Etienne had a sister who married (prior to the Revocation of the Edict of Nantes) another Huguenot immigrant who settled in New Rochelle, NY. I have also come across genealogists who believe that Etienne might have had a brother who remained in England. Have come across a branch in England with a common first name repeating generation after generation -- Henri/Henry.
