Very interesting research you have done. I've been told that I'm related the 'famous DeLancey's from New York' by my family but until I can confirm a connection. I only can go back as far as my great grand father. His name was Charles DeLancey and would have been born in the late 1800's/early1900's. Don't have a date for his birth. He had three sons named Charles, James and John Edgar. John E. DeLancey Sr. was my grandfather. John E. DeLancey Jr. was my father. Do you have any connections would connect them to Etienne? I don't keep in touch with the DeLancey side of my family so I don't have any real depth of the family lineage.
