I have a James Delancey inmy family as well. Served as a Pvt. in the 24th Cavalry in the Civil war. and his father was James also.....Can you send me info ..title and ISBN of the Delancey Books......I am currently trying to get further info from the NARA<National Association and Records Administration for his Military History as well....The Buckle may have belonged to him as well....especially as Many ordinary people didnt know the correct Rank of such military personal then.
