Some say she was born August 8, 1686 and was the daughter of Abraham and Celeste (Vernoy) Delamater. This would seem impossible as Celeste had died two years before. There doesn't seem to be any record of births or baptisms in Ulster County for her birth. Riker's History of Harlem, pg. 496, seems to be the only record to support her birth and placement. Some say she died at Aquanock, New Jersey. My records say she died at Mamarhneck, Westchester County, NY.

A book, "Pearce, Bartlett, Matthews, Smart, and Allied Families," compiled by James Alonzo Matthews reflects that John Pearce, Jr. and Maria Delamater had ten children.
Does anyone know if this books says anything about Maria's parents?
