Looking for information about the ancestors, siblings & descendents of the DELEHANTY family that farmed in Tete de Morts Twp, Jackson Co, Iowa. Honora DELEHANTY & her 4 children emigrated from Ireland after 1834 & moved to Iowa around 1843. Honora had at least 4 children: James, b. 1827 in Ireland; Julia, b. 1833 in Ireland; Richard, b. 1840 in NY; Edward, b. 1843 in Iowa. She was widowed by 1850 & farming in Tete de Mortes Twp, Jackson Co. James married Honora MCELROY & had 3 children: Mary Elizabeth, John & Richard. Julia married Michael REDDEN. They farmed in Dubuque Co.
