Hi Megan,
Hopefully you'll find some relatives within this site.
My branch of the family arrived in this country in 1849 & 1850. They settled in Astoria/Long Island City, Queens Co., New York where they remained pretty much intact until WWII.
My 1st "Delahanty's" came from Thurles, Co. Tipperary:
John (bn 1795)
Margaret Burke-Delahanty (1799)
Bridgit (1829)
James (1831)
Denis (1832)
Thomas (1834)
Michael (1836)
William (1838)
John (1840)

Good luck to you!
Kevin
