Our ancestors were connected. Robert born 1710 in
Carrichnasure, County of Tipperary Ireland. In 1728
Robert was officially sent to Tenerife, Canary Islands.
Except around 1800 my part of the family moved to
Mexico. Not Many Delahanty's were in Tenerife. Surname
variations mostly occured when somebody accidentally
changes 1 or 2 letters while filling out documents.
I found 3 different changes on baptismal certificates
for same person a Joseph Delahanty born 3/19/1847 in
Mexico.
