Hi Brian!

I don't know if we have a connection, but the location of Thurles, Co. Tipperary is too close to pass up.
My family came from there. They arrived in the US (Astoria/Long Island City, Queens, NY) in 2 "shipments" (1849 & 1850).
John (bn @ 1795) & Margaret Burke (bn @ 1799)
were the parents.
I don't know the names of their parents.
Their children, all born in Ireland, are as follows:

The way I was able to determine the connection between my family & Thurles is that this town was mentioned in the obituaries of 2 of the children.

I truly hope for a connection. This research has been great fun.
