Would any of you have ever heard of a Marie Delage Lavigueur married to a Jean-Baptiste Goguet or Goyet or Roguet or Royer in Longueuil or Vercheres, Quebec?
one of their children is my ancestor Jean-Baptiste Goguet or Goyet or Roguet or Royer and finally Rodier, married to M. Angelique or M.Louise Gosselin in 1821, Vercheres.
Up till recently, I had thought that this Rodier line simply came from the Royers of the Quebec area and I had the whole ascending line as quite certain.
So imagine my surprise when, while researching M.Angelique/Louise Gosselin's parents in "meraieux.com" ai stumbled over this Jean-Baptiste Goguet/Roguet/Roguer married to Marie Delage Lavigueur, given there without any further documentation as parents for my Gosselin ancestor's husband whom I believed was a Royer.
This would mean that my Rodiers came from the Goguet family of Longueuil instead of the Royers in Quebec. And it would make sense too, because many of my ancestors do come from Longueuil.
So if anyone has a Marie Delage Lavigueur married to a Jean-Baptiste Goguet-or-whatever, somewhere toward the end of the 18th century, I would appreciate knowing about her her marriage, family and parents etc.
