I am a decendant of Beatrice and William, and I was always under the impression that Beatrice was Choctaw. Can anyone shed any light on that?
Also I can come up with all 13 of the childrens names.
Ben and Beatrice never had any children to my knowledge, but he is the one I always remember when I was young.
Granny(Beatrice) live a very humble lifestyle. She always had a wood cook stove and "dipped" Garrett sweet snuff.
She wrung chicken necks when she was in her late 80's and was a god fearing woman. I can still see the pictures of Jesus on her walls.
I have a picture of her, and most of her kids, when she was in her 80's.
Anyone who has info about her ancestry (leggett) please contact me.
