I have a letter (in German) from Pastor Deislinger to (possibly) his sister-in-law Emma in Germany. The salutation mentions Emma and Kinder (children). I haven't had the letter translated, but in it he mentioned Bruder Herman (brother Herman). I don't know if it was his brother and Emma's husband, or if it was Emma's brother. I plan to try to have it translated and will let you know if it contains anything you may be interested in. I have no idea why it was in my grandfather's possession. By that time he lived about 150 miles from the Deislingers. I can only speculate that Emma sent it to Emil Schmiedlin because it contained information Emma wanted to share. At that point in time Emil and Pastor Deislinger were not on good terms.
