Hello Timothy. I too have seen the info you mention. To make a long story short, I'm not sure either is correct. The problem I have with it is that most genealogies record that William was born in 1550, and was obviously too old to be Balthazar's father. Logic tells me there had to be one or more intermediate generations, but I have never found anything to support that theory. Balthazar's will gives no clues about his parents. Some sources say that Aert Symonszen is of an entirely different family and they are not connected. Aert's children are not a match to what is known about Balthazar and his siblings. Don
