Dehaan, Dehann, or Variations.

Looking to try and find a link between the Surname Dehaan or any other spelling to the surname Deacon. There is a Robert Deacon who is presumed to have travelled with King William 111rd, William of Orange, from the Netherlands, to Ireland and fought as a Pikeman, in the Irish Revolution in 1690.
It is a theory that this Robert could have changed his name from Dehaan, to Deacon as he survived the revolution and settled in County Armagh, Northern Ireland and created the descendancy of which I am a part of. Would greatly appreciate any help along this line if at all possible.
Thanking you in advance.
Allan Deacon.
