Here is some of the information I have on my DeGroots: My GGGGrandparents: Joseph DeGroot and Sarah Burrow---This information I am sending you was passed down from family members and documented.
GGGGrandfather--Joseph DeGroot--Have no birth date circa 1800--born in New York. Had a brother Cornelius--Other siblings?--Joseph married Sarah Burrow 25 Dec. 1827--Bethel New York.He died 28 June 1842 New York--Occupation Painter--Cornelius was a stone cutter--Sarah was born in 1812 Leeds England--Died 29 Oct. Three Rivers St. Joseph Michigan.Buried Constantine Cemetery--Constantine Michigan.
Her Parents: John Burrow born in England and Mary Holbeck England. Joseph and Sarah had 7 children--Listed below is the information I have on them; Sarah married again to a Amos Avery Born 25 Dec. 1788--Died 11 Sept. 1858 St. Joseph Michigan.--6 children born--Have information on them.

2. Joseph Benson Born 14 Oct. 1830 New York; Died: 24 Feb. 1845--New York age 14 4 mo. 10 days.

4. George Phillip Born 2 Feb. 1835 New York--Married 24 July 1853 Thompson Sullivan co. New York--Died 17 April 1932 Brooklyn--Kings Co. New York--Buried Circleville Orange Co. New York--Married Nancy Jane Hack Born 10 July 1837 New York--Died 28 April 1911 Thompson New York.--Had 12 children 4 survived--I have been in touch with a descendant of George and he sent me the information on this line.
5. William Augustus--My GGGrandfather: Born 10 Aug. 1837 N.Y.Died 29 April 1908 D..-Buried Flint Hill Cemetery Oakten Va.--Married Mary Alice Wood Married 17 Dec. 1865 White Pigeon St Jo. Co Michigan--Born 25 6 1849--Michigan-Died 1916 Wash.Buried Flint Hill Cemetery Oakten Va. D.C. Parents John Wood and Susanna Burrow both born England. They had 7 children (Have all of the childrens information)Am in touch with a descendant--a cousin in Va.
