NY Harriet "Hattie" DeGraw m John Call Rockland Co.

Hi, all,
I am fairly new to searching my family history. I am having one issue. I live in Austin Texas, and my line is all from NY, so, as you can imagine, finding the information that I am looking for can not be done in person. However, I have been getting pretty good at getting evidence that is not exactly confirmed. I hope to gather the evidence and then actually go confirm it over several trips to NY.

My GG Grandmother was
Harriet Amelia Jones:
Born: 16 Jul 1890,
Burial: Call/Palmer Cemetery, Willow Grove (Stony Point), Rockland Co, NY
Occupation: 1908, Domestic
Residence: 1908, Thiells, Town of Haverstraw, Rockland Co, NY

She Married
John Call:
Born: Abt. 1877
Born: 11 Dec 1876
Burial: 22 Mar 1941, Call/Palmer Cemetery, Willow Grove (Stony Point), Rockland Co, NY
Cause of Death: Old Age
Died: 20 Mar 1941
Occupation: 1908, Farmer
Occupation: Laborer
Residence: St. John's (Stony Point), Rockland Co, NY
Residence2: 1941, Pomona, Rockland Co, NY

(note the 2 "born" fields): We are fairly sure that it was 11 Dec 1876 but the information is not yet confirmed.

Information about their marriage.
Clergyman: 26 Apr 1908, B.Q. Hallenbeck, Minister, residence-Suffern, NY
Marriage: 26 Apr 1908, Airmont, Rockland Co, NY
Marriage license: 25 Apr 1908
Marriage Witnesses: 26 Apr 1908, Mrs. B.Q. Hallenbeck; I.M. Hallenbeck

Harriet is listed as being Harriet Amelia Jones, HOWEVER, she was in fact adopted by William Levy Jones and Margaret Rose, but her birthfather's name was

Edward DeGraw.
Hattie's mother is unknown.
I have a lot of information on Harriet, since she is part of my maternal line, but, as far as finding out who she is and where she comes from, it's all stumped.

I have no clue of anything about Edward DeGraw.

I would assume that it would be possible to find the adoption papers, for her, whic, I assume are in Nyak somewhere since most adoptions were taken there.

She even appears on William Levy Jones's last will and testiment, although, this is second hand knowledge from another PERSON. I never read the source material, but, I believe in the clue.

I have a genealogy report on a Henry DeGro, and this person interprates Edward DeGro as having changed his name to Edward DeGraw while living in Brooklyn NY. However, I saw the train of thought (this person's notes), on the subject and it may very well be circumstantial.

I check this board often, but, if you feel the need to use email mike@worldathand.com can be used.

Thanks a Million.
