Hi Suzanne: I have 2 Sarah Thomases: Sarah (1777-1818), dau. Col. James Thomas & Susannah Mabry who marr. Allen de Graffenried; and Sarah, dau. Mary de Graffenried and James V. Thomas. Mary was dau. of Christopher "Kit" de Graffenried (1766-1831). I have no Chiles in my database, but I've checked another GedCom file I have from a cousin and find in it James Taylor Chiles. It says he was b. in Starkville MS on 19 Nov 1833 (d. 1906). (That would be a good reason to be in Mississipi.) He married the same Sarah as in my database, but my cousin has "John V." for Sarah's father, rather than "James V.," and gives Sarah's name as "Sarah Anne" with dob of 1834. I have no more information. The name James Taylor Chiles repeats in each of the next 4 or 5 generations in my cousin's file. If you want to e-mail me directly, I'll give you the address of my cousin. Regards, Jo Anne DeG.
