Hi Mike
It's been over 10 years since I compared notes with Neal.
(I'm digging through my notes to refresh my memory.)

Let's see, Neal is from Gertrude who married Arthur Baker. I see that you are from the same line as Neal.

This is my line:
Me
Norman William Simmons
Cynthia Eliza (Chase) Simmons
Bertha Alice (Stallcop) Chase
Elizabeth Ann (Shenton) Stallcop

My Dad knew that two of Bertha's sisters married brothers by the name of Baker. In a note from my Aunt Millie, she remembers visiting relatives by the name of Baker in Long Prairie, MN. (She didn't write who or when, though.)
You may have met them?

My grandpa Ward Simmons worked for the railroad and ran train depots in MN and ND (mostly ND). After Grandpa died (in 1952), Grandma, my Dad and Millie moved to Longview, WA. (There were more teaching employment options for Grandma there . . . and a brother.) Millie is still there.

I was born in Oregon and raised in Seattle. I'm now in Richland, WA. The rest of my immediate family are in AK, SC and CA.

Cindy
