Peter,
I have been researching the Schenectady De Graaf's descended from Claas Andreis, as I am descended from his daughter Elisabeth De Graaf Stensel. My question is wether or not his line is related to the Ulster County De Graffs & how. I believe Abraham De Graaf who married Swart might have been born in Ulster County, but not sure. I haven't found him in Albany-Schenectady DRC records. Do you know if the NJ De Graffs are tied to the Claas Andeis line?
It has bothered me that Claas Andreis De Graaf b. 1628, married Elisabeth Brouwer b. c. 1658. He was a contemporary of her father. It is recorded that he married first & had his first child at age 60. Recently I found another reference confirming his age in "Collections of the History of Albany" publ. by J Munsell. c. 1865 Albany, NY.
